The Girls Soccer Team had an amazing victory over Jackson High School last week in the opening round of State Playoffs.  Hat Trick for Catey Nelson and 2 goals for Alina Ruzicka!  Great contributions from the whole team.  Check out the great local print coverage:   King5 story "Issaquah Ousts Jackson",   Everett Harold "Jackson Falls to Issaquah" 
 
“Another Eagle is going to State" Signs BIG HIT!   -In yards all over town ( Cross Country, Girls Swim, Girls Soccer)  we are seeing the new Boosters way of recognizing our amazing athletes going to State. A quote from a grateful parent "The kids LOVED IT and are VERY PROUD to have them in their yards! The parents think they are fantastic as well! This was a huge hit and I know that the Cross Country Team appreciated being thought of!” 
 
Ladies and Men's Cross Country Teams did awesome at State last weekend! Men's team took 5th, while the Ladies team took 4th! Kennan Shrag was 5th overall for the men, Sami Corman and Kenna Clawson were 6th and 9th overall, respectively, for the women. Way to go Eagle runners!
 
Ladies Swim & Dive Team Congrats on placing 3rd overall at Districts last weekend! Some highlights from that District Meet: • Jeni Matsuda - 3rd place in the 200 free and 2nd place in the 100 fly both were state qualifying times. • Natalie Sun - 6th place in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 fly. • Gaby Creaver - 12th place in the 50 free and 10th place in the 100 free. • Abigail Paxton - 7th place in the 50 free. • Divers- Kristen Hines 7th, Halle Wolgamott 9th and Callie Meja 11th. • Izzy Gonzales - 7th in the 100 free. • Annika Helgesen - 8th in the 100 breast. • Katie Maier - 7th in the 500 free and 8th in the 100 back both were state qualifying times. • Alyssa Helgesen - 5th in the 100 breast with a state qualifying time. • Medley Relay was 3rd place overall with Katie Maier, Annika Helgesen, Jeni Matsuda and Abigail Paxton. • The 200 free relay was 4th overall with Natalie Sun, Kira Grebinsky Brooke Flaten, Izzy Gonzales and Abigail Paxton. • The 400 free relay was also 4th overall with Gaby Creaver, Natalie Sun, Izzy Gonzales, Katie Maier and Jeni Matsuda.
 
Issaquah Football Team members honored by Kingco for their efforts this season!  Our very own Buddy Bland was Coach of the Year!!! Lineman of the Year - Connor Smith.  Connor Smith led the league in Tackles for Loss and was top 10 in Individual Tackles and Sacks. Cam Humphrey led in both the Individual Passing and Total Offense categories. Joe Nelson finished second in Individual Receiving.

November 6, 2015:  Issaquah Boys Varsity Golf Goes to State!  Issaquah Golf Team had two golfers, Zach Overstreet and Cole Chase, represented Issaquah at Kingco in Snohomish.  Zach Overstreet is advancing to State in the spring to defend his State Title.   Congratulations Zach!  The Boys Golf teams celebrated the end of their season where 5 seniors were recognized:  Zach Overstreet, Adam Zook, Chip Hechl, Rohit Talluri and Pranav Shah.     Way to go Issaquah Boys Golf!

Issaquah Varsity Volleyball rocks!  Congratulations to these players who are being recognized for their efforts this season: Kingco 1st Team - Hope Dalquist, MB, Senior  /  Kingco 2nd Team - Claire Siefkes, DS/L, Sophomore  /  Kingco Honorable Mentions - Sarah Ratcliffe, Senior; Sarah Baker, Junior

Issaquah Ladies Swim & Dive Team competed at Kingco Champs this past weekend. The Eagles had 32 girls qualified to swim in this meet and placed 4th out of 16 teams! If that weren't enough... Issaquah Ladies Swim & Dive Team had five Senior Kingco 4A Scholar Athletes recognized at Kingco Champs last weekend. They are Gabby Creaver, Rachel Herbst, Delaney Huesgen, Katie Maier, and Claire Putney. The Kingco Scholastic Award standard is a minimum 3.75 cumulative GPA and participation in a Kingco sport. Congratulations scholar-athletes!

October 29, 2015:  SENIOR NIGHT VICTORY - The IHS Varsity Volleyball team beat Bothell Monday night in another back-and-forth five set match. Way to go, girls! The last match of the season, before playoffs begin, is on Wednesday at Newport HS at 7pm. Go Issy!

Congratulations to the 23 Issaquah Swimmers who participated in the KINGCO Invite on Saturday. The IHS team had 19 personal best times individually and 8 relay best times, a very fun and successful day for all! This week the swimmers prepare for Kingco Championships! Qualified swimmers will compete in preliminaries at UW on Friday. The top 24 swimmers of that meet will advance to the finals on Saturday at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo.

Issaquah Boys Cross Country are KINGCO CHAMPS! The Varsity Boys Cross Country go undefeated through the regular season and yesterday, won the Kingco 4A Championship meet! Fantastic team effort!  The Issy Girls Varsity came in second! Great team effort by the ladies as well! Saturday (10/31) is Districts at Lake Sammamish State Park. GO ISSAQUAH!


October 25, 2015:  KingCo Champions!  Issaquah Boys Cross Country goes undefeated through the season and Saturday they won the KingCo 4A Championship meet! Next week is districts. Great team effort!

October 19, 2015:   The game at Woodinville on Friday is up for the Big Game of the Week on King5We need your votes! So far we only have 5% of the votes, 4th place!  Issaquah is NOT a 4th place school!  Vote today.  

Issaquah Varsity Football is playing well and if they keep it up they will have the opportunity to finish in second place in Kingco. 


October 19, 2015:  Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Tennis players representing our school at KingCo Conference last week!  Kobe and Derek won and continue on!

October 15, 2015:  The Volleyball teams traveled to Redmond HS last night for a match. C lost in a nail biter to the end, JV won, and Varsity won in a competitive 5 set match, with I.H.S. taking 3 of the 5 sets.


October 13, 2015:  Issaquah Men's Crosscountry Team ARE KINGCO REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS! That's how you put a big fat bow on the regular season! Issy XC BROUGHT IT and walked away with the double win! Way to run one and all!!

BOYS:  Issy Boys final 2015 season record: 8-0
Final 4A KingCo regular season place: 1st 
CONGRATULATIONS ISSY BOYS ON YOUR PERFECT DUAL MEET SEASON AND YOUR 4A KINGCO REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP!! Great work guys! You are making it happen! 

GIRLS:    Issy Girls season record: 7-1
Final 4A KingCo regular season place: 2nd (Mt. Si)

October 11, 2015:  The IHS Varsity Volleyball team beat Ferndale in the championship in 3 close sets to win the entire "Reach the Peak" tournament yesterday. #1 out of 16 teams -- way to go, Issaquah!


October 11, 2015: The Issaquah Cross Country team had their final invitational of this season. The meet that turned out to be a tale of two courses. Nice enough in the beginning, a madhouse of mud by the end. Either way, our runners had terrific performances and all had great attitudes and were willing to go with the flow of the weather and delays. Way to go! Issy Pride!

  • TEAM SCORES:
    • Varsity Girls - Another great effort for our girls in this one as they finished 3rd out of 18 scoring schools. Way to go girls!
    • JV Girls 1 - 3rd out of 8. Congrats girls! Way to run!!
    • Frosh/Soph Boys - 1st out of 11. Outstanding!
    • Varsity Boys - Our boys finished 2nd out of 15 scoring teams in the fast varsity race. The only team to beat them was powerhouse 6A Central Catholic out of Portland so our boys won the "Washington Division" of this meet. Way to run guys! What a great day you had!

October 11, 2015: Issaquah Ladies Swim and Dive had busy week! Last Monday the Varsity team competed in a special invite at Hogwarts, just kidding, actually Stadium HS. 
Then on Thursday the entire team beat Bellevue HS at home, with a score of 111-72. Season record is 3-2. Go Lady Eagles!


October 8, 2015:  Vote for IHS's Sarah Baker in the ALL-USA Western Washington Girls Performers of the Week poll! You can vote as many times as you like thru Monday Oct 12th. Sarah is being honored for dishing out 43 assists against Eastlake in Volleyball. Earlier in that week she had 35 assists and seven kills in the Eagles’ upset over Newport. She's currently in 2nd place in the voting - she needs your votes!
